Gesture control software recognition and database capabilities is available for consumer electronics
Las Vegas - CES 2012: Gesture recognition and gesture database design capabilities are available through Movea's GestureBuilder software. The software enables Touchless Gestures for control of smartphones, tablets, TVs, set-top-boxes, and media centre PCs running Linux, Android, and Windows 7. Windows 8 support is also planned. The software provides the capability to create 2D and 3D gestures using two to nine-axes of sensor data from any combination of MEMS accelerometers, gyroscopes, and magnetometers. OEMs and systems integrators can use the pre-defined libraries of 2D and 3D gestures, simple swipes, and pre-defined custom gestures using the software to capture motion data from combinations of MEMS sensors. It uses the company's proprietary data fusion and signal processing techniques to record and recognise gestures in real-time and optimise gesture databases for performance and accuracy. The software is available through engagement under license agreement.
